Terms of Use — RecapBird

App: “RecapBird” on Google Play (recapbird.ai.note.taker.voice.recorder.summary) · Developer: KLapp

Effective date: October 31, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and KLapp (“we”), the developer of RecapBird. The first screen of the app says: “By starting you accept our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, including ads measurement and personalization (Google, Apphud).” By tapping Get started, or by using the app, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains what data the app uses and why.

1. The app

RecapBird records audio, or takes an audio or video file you choose, sends the audio to our servers and returns a transcript and an AI summary that you can copy and share. Audio is processed by our AI service providers to make your notes. Your notes are kept on your phone, and we keep no backup of them. You never create an account with us. RecapBird is meant for adults: you must be 18 or older to use it. AI features are not available in every country.

2. Free use and the subscription

3. Subscriptions and billing

4. Cancelling, refunds and the end of the subscription

5. Using the app

6. Recording other people

You must get the consent of the people you record before you record them, and follow the recording and privacy laws where you and they are. Some places allow recording if one person in the conversation agrees (“one-party consent”); others require everyone's consent (“two-party” or “all-party” consent). Before you record or import a conversation, check which rule applies. You are responsible for what you record and import, and for telling the people in it that it will be processed by AI service providers if the law or good practice requires it. We cannot check whether you have the right to a recording.

7. AI output

Transcripts and summaries are made automatically by AI and may be inaccurate or incomplete: words can be misheard, speakers mixed up, and a summary can leave out or misstate something. Check anything important against the recording before you rely on it, and do not rely on RecapBird alone for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. If a summary is wrong, offensive or reveals private information, tap Report on that summary; we receive the summary and your reason so we can review it.

8. Your content and your data

9. Other services

Google Play, Apphud, our speech-to-text and AI providers and the other services the app uses are run by others under their own terms, and we are not responsible for how they run them. This does not limit our own responsibility for the data they process for us, as the Privacy Policy describes.

10. No warranty

We work to make RecapBird reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, including that the app or its AI features will always be available, or that a transcript or summary will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, KLapp is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made on AI output, and our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the greater of what you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

12. Changes to the app

We may change the app and its features, and we may stop offering it. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

13. Changes to these terms and your consumer rights

We post each new version of these terms here with a new effective date. If you keep using the app after a change, the new version applies. When you tap “Get started”, the app records on your phone which version you accepted.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
